School Age Program

Our private school consists of Kindergarten through second grade. We do accept Step Up scholarships for those who qualify. School hours are from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. We offer an afterschool program and camp days during our teacher workdays. Our school-age program has many advantages such as small class size, Spanish elective, technology component, and an accelerated learning program. Our curriculum is designed to challenge young people who are dedicated to becoming the best they can be. Children attending this program are exposed to materials above grade level in reading, writing, math, social studies and science. We offer Spanish as an elective to all students beginning in kindergarten. We also incorporate technology with the use of a smart board and allotted time at our computer lab. We pride ourselves in teaching diversity and multiculturalism. Our school initiates many fundraising activities to help St Jude’s Hospital, Miami Children Hospital and Muscular Dystrophy. We sponsor food and clothing drives for families in need throughout our community. We promote multiculturalism through our multicultural fair and pen pal activities.
In our academic program, we utilize Common Core practices and objectives, books, and resources in order to be aligned with the Florida Department of Education and what is being taught in the public school system. We administer standardized testing on a yearly basis in order to evaluate each child’s progress and define areas that may need more attention. Our teachers meet frequently with the parents to discuss each student’s progress and discuss what activities or resources are needed for their child to continue to grow academically, emotionally and socially. Every child will be tested before being accepted into the program. We want to ensure that this program is the right one for the child applying. Many of our students after leaving our program are placed in high achieving and/or gifted classes. We have proven ourselves through our high scores in the standardized test since opening our school-age program in 2012.
